The 22 players who will play for Canada's National Men's Summer U-18 Team at the 2011 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament, August 8-13 in Breclav, Czech Republic and Piestany, Slovakia were announced yesterday.
Former Greenwood student Tom Wilson - who left the school in 2010 to pursue his dreams in the Ontario Hockey League - is one of those selected as a forward.
The roster was finalized following Hockey Canada's four-day selection camp at Father David Bauer Olympic Arena in Calgary. Canada's roster is made up of 13 forwards, seven defencemen and two goaltenders.
Earlier this year Tom won gold as part of Team Ontario at the 2011 World U-17 Hockey Challenge. Greenwood will continue to follow Tom’s successful fledgling hockey career!
