Greenwood Families Fill 62 Holiday Hampers

The Holiday Hamper campaign is an annual tradition at Greenwood.
Each family helping to fill a hamper got a “wish list” for a family from Nelson Mandela Park Public School, Sprucecourt Public School or St. Maria Goretti Catholic School. Every hamper included at least one wrapped gift for each member of the family, as well as family gifts like grocery store gift cards and warm winter clothing.

We filled 50 hampers in 2017, and this year we aimed to increase that number to 60. Thanks to Greenwood families’ generosity, we were able to fill a total of 62 hampers. With the help of many parent drivers and Grade 12 volunteers, we delivered the hampers to Nelson Mandela, Sprucecourt and St. Maria Goretti on Friday, December 14.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the holidays brighter for families in need!
