Sharing Artistic Passion at Greenwood Mic

At the first Greenwood Mic of the school year, ten performers shared their artistic talents with their peers, from music to dance to stand-up comedy.

Greenwood students are a talented bunch—and those talents shone at our latest Greenwood Mic. On November 2, students gathered in the gym for some very special performances.

Ten performers showed off their varied artistic talents. A Greenwood Mic favourite, Luke Farwell (‘19) performed his famous stand-up comedy. Bayla Appleby (‘23) performed a hip-hop dance routine, while Katie Britt (‘24) showed her tap-dancing skills.

We had a number of musical performances, featuring guitars, piano, and vocals. Stanca Radulescu (‘21) performed a moving piece on piano. Madison Gordon (‘20) sang “Landfill” by Daughter with Cole Perelmuter (‘20) accompanying on guitar. Lisa Fireman (‘23) sang a soulful rendition of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” while playing guitar.

Hannah Hutzul (‘22), Maurya Shah (‘22), and Sydney Smith (‘22) got the whole crowd singing along to “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond. There was a lot of energy and enthusiasm in the room, with many students shouting out the refrains. Then, Cole Perelmuter came back on stage to close the show with an original mashup of 90s and 2000s punk hits.

Thanks to everyone who took the stage at Greenwood Mic. It is always a treat to get a taste of what students are passionate about!
