Brand Survey & Construction Update

Allan Hardy, Principal
This week, I wanted to provide the community with updates on two of our major projects.
Refreshing the Brand: Survey Update

I want to thank those parents who responded to our recent survey about the school’s current visual identity. Close to 600 students, staff, parents, former parents and alumni participated in the survey. The results included a wide range of responses, including impassioned comments about what’s important to preserve about our identity, and where there might be opportunity for change. We have created an advisory group composed of students, a current and former parent, staff members, and alumni to help guide the process; their first step will be meeting to analyze the survey results and discuss its implications. I will keep the community updated on the process throughout the spring.

Construction Update

We continue to make good progress on the new building. The building is now fully enclosed and work is proceeding on the interior. We continue to target the end of May or early June as our substantial completion date. About 40 workers are on-site on a daily basis. Though we have made some changes to the building since the design stage, the project remains on budget.

Here are two videos from my phone that give you some sense of the state of construction. The first is of the new gym and change rooms, while the second clip looks at the new arts spaces in the basement.
