  • Geoff Reeves (Chair)

    Geoff Reeves was appointed to the position of Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Capital Markets group in December of 2008. In his role, he manages relationships for a number of CIBC’s senior wholesale banking clients. Geoff is on the Capital Markets Operating Committee and is member of the Board of CIBC World Markets Inc. and is a Board member on some industry related committees. Geoff has an Honours degree Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and lives in Toronto. His sons Mitch and Russell graduated from Greenwood in 2009 and 2011, respectively.
  • Shawn Aspden

    Shawn Aspden is currently Managing Director at Bloom Burton & Co., with a primary responsibility for institutional sales coverage across Canada. Shawn served most recently as Vice Chairman, Head of North American Institutional Equity Sales at GMP Securities LP, where he was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and managed a top-ranked institutional sales team. He is also on the CAN Fund Advisory Executive, a non-profit organization focused on providing supplemental funding to Canadian Olympic athletes. He holds the CFA designation and is an HBA graduate from the Ivey Business School. Shawn’s children Leah (‘20), Ryan (‘22) and Ben (‘24) are Greenwood students.
  • Allie Hawkey ('09)

    Allie Hawkey began her career at PwC, working with public and private companies across various industries. She then moved to an Executive Recruitment role with Thorek/Scott and Partners, where she worked as an advisor to both clients and candidates and transitioned numerous professionals into new roles. Allie has recently stepped into a new position at the Royal Bank of Canada; as a Commercial Account Manager, she provides financial advice and banking solutions to commercial clients. Allie holds an HBA from the Ivey Business School and CPA and CA designations. Greenwood’s culture of philanthropy made a strong impact on Allie as a student, and she is glad to be staying involved and giving back to the community.
  • David Picton

    David Picton has over 20 years of investment experience, including eight years as a top-ranked analyst and head of quantitative research at RBC Dominion Securities. He was a founding partner and portfolio manager at Synergy Asset Management. David graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree. He also received a Leslie Wong Fellowship from UBC’s prestigious Portfolio Management Foundation. His children, Reed (‘10), Michael (‘11) and Chloe (‘13), are Greenwood alumni.
  • Susan Rimmer

    Susan Rimmer is Global Head of CIBC’s Debt Capital Markets business. She joined CIBC following a 15-year career in global capital markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Susan is a member of CIBC’s Investment Banking Operating Committee and the Global Deals Committee. She was appointed to the Board of Directors for CIBC Mellon November 1, 2015. Susan supports various charitable causes including Bridgepoint Healthcare and the United Way. She holds an Honors BA from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. Susan’s daughter Kristina is in Grade 9 at Greenwood; her son Alex graduated in 2018.
  • Richard Wernham

    Richard Wernham was a Special Lecturer in Law at Trinity College (University of Toronto) from1977-1994 and currently holds appointments in support of academic institutions including Lakefield College School, Upper Canada College and Massey College (University of Toronto). Together with his wife, Julia, Richard also provides significant financial support to the academic community, including having funded the Richard Wernham and Julia West Centre for Learning at Upper Canada College. In recognition of their contributions to education, Richard and Julia received the Robert L. Payton Award from Council for Advancement and Support of Education in 2010. Richard and Julia’s daughter Emma and son Simon are Greenwood alumni.
