The Greenwood community celebrated the end of the 2019-2020 school year with a special Celebration Day presentation on Friday, June 12.
We enjoyed musical performances by the choir and our Grade 10 & 11 Vocal classes. As well, we listened to wonderful speeches from Megan Somerville ‘20 and from our Heads of Student Leadership, Leah Aspden ‘20 and John Naprawa ‘20.
A special tribute was also given to our Class of 2020 to acknowledge their accomplishments over the years and to celebrate their completion of high school. Read more about their special graduation visits here. (link grad article)
Several awards were given to students, recognizing achievements from across the four pillars of character: moral, intellectual, civic and performance. We also revealed our House Cup winner through a special ‘Grizzly Adventure’ video. Congratulations to all award winners and congratulations to West House for taking home the House Cup!
The Greenwood community also said farewell to one of our long-time staff members, Anne Wellnhofer, who has been at the school since our doors opened 18 years ago. Ms. Hillis and Ms. Floras paid a special tribute to Anne, recognizing all that she has done for the Greenwood community and the impact she has made at the school.
Thank you to everyone who celebrated the 2019-2020 school year with us.
