This year’s full-school musical Pippin is coming to Greenwood’s Theatre from May 2 to 4! Pippin is the tale of a young medieval prince who is on the quest to search for life’s meaning. On the way, he encounters a travelling troupe of performers who guide him on this journey. Does the prince give in to a life of grandeur and glory or will he find joy and happiness in the simple things in life? Watch the musical to find out!

This musical features 25 student actors ranging from Grades 7 to 12. There are also more than 40 students and staff working behind-the-scenes in costume, set design, backstage management, photography, sound booth, props and more. The performances will also be accompanied by a live pit band. This production has been months in the making, with many members of the cast dedicating multiple afternoons after school to rehearsals.

For many of the performers and crew, this will be their final theatre production at Greenwood, many of them having participated in various Greenwood productions throughout their time here.

“I’ve been a part of the backstage crew since I was in Grade 7 and was made backstage manager two years ago. I work with Georgia Robinson as co-backstage managers,” says Sienna Loh ‘24. “I always looked forward to the theatre productions every year. There will definitely be some tears at the last show of Pippin.”

Thank you to all our staff and students involved in bringing this production to life!
